Emily Triumphs in Perth - Lammermuir Festival

Emily Hoile opened Perth Concert Hall’s Classical Season with a fantastic lunchtime recital earlier today.   The programme included works by Scarlatti, Fauré, Bach and Britten and was wonderfully performed to a hugely enthusiastic audience, many of whom came up to her afterwards to congratulate her.  The highlight for me was the Britten Suite which she will be performing in Whitekirk on Saturday afternoon at  3.30pm https://www.lammermuirfestival.co.uk/event/a-musical-journey-ii-2011

The remainder of the programme is Haydn’s String Quartet in C Op 54 No 2 and Beethovens astonishing Rasumovsky No 2 Quartet played by the Navarra Quartet.

You can also hear Emily at Winton House on Sunday 25th at 2.30 performing works by Fauré, JS Bach, Glinka and Scarlatti.  You can also see lots of original Canaletto paintings and have afternoon tea.  https://www.lammermuirfestival.co.uk/event/music-at-winton-house-2011
