The National Youth Choir of Scotland was a huge hit at last year’s inaugural festival. This year we welcome the superb National Girls Choir to Inveresk’s impressive parish church. They perform a wide-ranging programme of French and British music, with a 100th Anniversary tribute to Jehan Alain who died tragically young in WW2.

The grandeur of St Michael’s and the power and precision of this crack choir will combine for a great musical experience.

St Michael’s Church, Inveresk

This late Georgian parish church (Robert Nisbet, 1803-5) stands on a site which has been a Christian settlement since the 6th Century.

Perched on a hill above the picturesque village of Inveresk on the banks of the River Esk, its tall spire is a landmark for miles around.

A large rectangular box-church with a magnificent classical interior and a fine Lewis organ, its vibrant acoustic makes it an excellent concert venue.
