The beautiful family chapel at Lennoxlove House is illuminated by candlelit chandeliers for this recital by Lammermuir Festival regular Philip Higham. A winner of the Bach Leipzig competition, Philip precedes Bach’s well-loved first cello suite with works by 18^th Italian cellist Joseph dall’Abaco and by Domenico Gabrieli – one of the very first cello virtuosi.

The Lammermuir Festival has presented many concerts in the Great Hall at Lennoxlove, but the chapel is a new and secret delight.
