The festival returns to this lovely old kirk with a thrilling programme from the young Danish accordion virtuoso Andreas Borregaard. It amply demonstrates the huge range of this most versatile instrument, ranging from Renaissance dances by Byrd and Baroque dances by Bach to Berio’s modern classic Sequenza and one of the 20th century’s most celebrated accordion works, Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina’s deeply spiritual De Profundis.

Yester Parish Church, Gifford

With a commanding presence at the top of Gifford's Main Street, Yester Parish Church is a fine example of the traditional T-plan Scottish kirk, white harled with a bold square tower topped by a spire.

Completed in 1710, it was recently restored, its stunning interior adorned with some exquisite original woodwork.
