The National Youth Choir of Scotland’s concerts are always extraordinary events. One of the UK’s finest choirs, their discipline, tonal quality and expressive subtlety under Christopher Bell’s brilliant direction are second to none. These qualities will certainly be to the fore in James MacMillan’s exciting Cantos Sagrados as well as in Vivaldi’s ever popular Gloria.

"Down in London we don’t get many chances to hear NYCoS, and the choirs we do hear simply aren’t a patch on them... we went home with their glorious sound ringing in our ears."

St. Michael’s Church, Inveresk

This late Georgian parish church (Robert Nisbet, 1803-5) stands on a site which has been a Christian settlement since the 6th Century.

Perched on a hill above the picturesque village of Inveresk on the banks of the River Esk, its tall spire is a landmark for miles around.

A large rectangular box-church with a magnificent classical interior and a fine Lewis organ, its vibrant acoustic makes it an excellent concert venue.
