Five Terrible Ideas - Lammermuir Festival

One of the most enjoyable parts of running a festival is coming up with really insane ideas.   My current favourites are

Messiaen: Oiseaux Exotiques performed on the Bass Rock to an audience of Gannets and streamed to a live audience in the Seabird Centre

Stanford: Songs of the Sea  performed on the Isle of May in coproduction with the East Neuk Festival

Staging Nigel Osborne’s The Electrification of the Soviet Union at Cockenzie Power Station

Pirates of Penzance in Cove Harbour

Monteverdi: Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda in Dirleton Castle

All others gratefully received
